Inaugural Post

So as we begin to contemplate our move to North Carolina in the summer of 2015, we have decided that we have been pretty poor Californians and there is so much that we have left to do and see before we go.  Today, we decided to start our journey with a trip to the tide pools at Laguna Beach. I googled "the best tide pools in southern california" and this is what it said so this is where we went. Sadly, the entire family has yet to fully enter into the joy of this undertaking. Mercy, Sarah and David thought it would be more fun to wait in the car while Brad, Lily, James and I took in the sights. I think we definitely got the better end of that deal. It was a beautiful day, and the tide pools were super cool. James climbed a mountain, and they both got to go swimming and get beat up by a few waves. The four of us enjoyed lunch at Husky Burger, an iconic Laguna Beach hamburger stand. The stick-in-the-muds in the car had stealthily snuck in a computer and watched "Anchorman" while they waited. We have decided that our future expeditions are non-negotiable, but if my lame-o kids want to stay in the car, they can.

Computers will be forbidden in the future. Here are some pics of today's outing.
